Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On is Bringing Out the Big Guns
If there’s going to be a video game based in the Gundam universe that will grab fans’ attention, it has to be a Versus title. In a surprise announcement, Bandai Namco revealed that they are bringing Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On to the west on PlayStation 4.
For those who don’t know Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On is a port of an arcade release in 2016. Over the years, the game has received updates to increase the roster of characters to what we see today.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On boasts 183 units from the Gundam universe for players to play as. After going hands-on with the game, it’s important to note that each Gundam plays wildly different from each other. This will surely make some intriguing matchups during the game’s 2v2 battles.
After selecting a Mobile Suit, players will also be able to choose between three different EX Burst Systems: Fighting Burst, Extend Burst, and Shooting Burst. Each of these modes controls differently to fit the player’s playstyle.
Players should know that the game does support 2-player local matches and up to 4-player online matches.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On will be coming west on PlayStation 4 in 2020.
