Bandai Namco announced an Open Access opportunity for players eager to play Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On, coming to PlayStation 4 on July 30.
This Open Access event begins on June 19 and allows players the chance to play the game up 24 hours every weekend via the PlayStation Network on PS4, from Friday from 8 pm until Saturday at 8 pm. This will continue until the game officially launches, and will help developers during the development of the game leading up to release.
Additionally, a new trailer was launched that gives players a look at what awaits them during the open-access time frame.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On’s roster reaches over 300 mechs, and every stage from the arcade version will be included in this release. Additionally, the development of the PlayStation 4 version is primarily worked on by the arcade developers to make it a worthy port. Also, the game has been balanced and updated based on feedback from the arcade version, and the PS4 version will be a product of the final version of the cabinet.
Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxiboost On was originally a Japan-exclusive arcade game released in 2016. The console version of the game will release globally on PS4 and introduce players to the mech fighting series. Gameplay has players take on matches across 2v2 combat modes where they’ll have access to 183 different Mobile Suits from across 36 Gundam titles.
