New Tomb Raider Mobile Game, Tomb Raider Reloaded Announced for Next Year

The official Tomb Raider Twitter account has announced Tomb Raider Reloaded, an upcoming mobile title of the Tomb Raider franchise.

You can watch the announcement trailer for Tomb Raider Reloaded below:

This title is being developed by Emerald City Games and the Square Enix London mobile team, and will be a free to play action arcade game. This game will be releasing for mobile devices in 2021. The trailer is very brief and merely showcases a slow panning shot of the types of monsters and obstacles that Lara Croft will have to overcome.

Unfortunately for both Tomb Raider fans and Square Enix, the announcement trailer for this title has received rather poor reception, with the dislike bar currently nearing 900 dislikes, and the number of likes currently standing near 600. This title is releasing in 2021, which is the year of Tomb Raider‘s 25th anniversary. With this being the the first and possibly only announcement for a 2021 Tomb Raider game, fans are certainly going to be disappointed and rightfully so. Here’s hoping that Tomb Raider gets some deserved love from Square Enix for its 25th anniversary. For now, only time will tell whether or not 2021 holds anything else in store for this franchise.
