Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath Will Be Published by Aksys in the West; Coming Summer 2022

Aksys Games has announced they will be responsible for publishing Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath in the West. The shoot’em up will be available on PlayStation 4 and Switch in Summer 2022, though a more specific date wasn’t revealed yet.

Based on the popular manga and anime series Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, the new game takes place inside a cursed PC. After Miss Kobayashi receives a weird email with cryptic ramblings, she decides to investigate it in Takiya’s house along with her maids. At that time, the girls are sucked into the PC and are now trapped inside it.

To escape, they will have to beat the PC on its own game, banding together to clear stages. Their arsenal of abilities include attacks with short and long ranges, as well as a unique attack called Choro-gon Breath. In specific conditions, they can also activate a special power called Raging Spark. Playable characters include Tohru, Kanna and Elma, all of which can count with Miss Kobayashi’s support.

Playing through Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath‘s stages will also allow fans to unlock 30 Memorial Pieces. These will feature original illustrations of the characters that were made for the game. The focus of those artworks is on the characters’ daily lives. Keep in mind the game is already out in Japan with English subtitles.
