Santa Ragione announced that their visual novel Milky Way Prince: The Vampire Star will launch on PC-via Steam, the Epic Games Store, itch.io, and the Humble Store on August 13.
Milky Way Prince: The Vampire Star introduces readers to Nuki, who has found the prince of his dreams named Sune. Sune happens to resemble the hero from Nuki’s favorite childhood storybook and so a romance ensues.
However, the fairy tale doesn’t last for long as signs of dysfunction and strain appear and psychological demons and issues around idealization, boundaries, submission, and self-worth surface. The story follows the two’s relationship and most intimate moments by utilizing Nuki’s five senses to discover hidden truths that guide the story down a series of branching paths.
“Santa Ragione has received tremendous support from the gaming community over the years and we feel now is the time to pay it forward,” said Pietro Righi Riva, co-founder and studio director, Santa Ragione. “Milky Way Prince is a touching story that spotlights relatable subjects that are underexplored in this medium and we can’t wait to share it with everyone this August.”
The game features themes of abuse and mental illness.
