MiHoYo Reveal ‘Genshin Impact’, Open World RPG for PC and Mobile

MiHoYo has shown off the first trailer for their upcoming title ‘Genshin Impact‘. A curious case, considering that Genshin Impact had been a neat litle serialized manga that updates twice a month since November last year (you can find it here if you’re interested).  Mihoyo, known for their mobile action RPG, ‘Honkai Impact 3rd’ (not the 3rd game, don’t go looking for 1 and 2), has decided to act upon a common comment in regards to said game, ‘Why isn’t this on PC?’

So they seem to have taken it upon themselves to build a new game, for both PC and mobile devices.

Genshin Impact is an Open World Action RPG where you will play as, mostly likely, the blonde haired youth in the trailer. It is an announcement trailer after all. However, we can gleam a few tidbits. You’ll be able to explore and climb various buildings and locations, and battle monsters in glorious windswept planes. I’m getting some Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Breath of the Wild vibes from the world itself, but the models and animations are very similar to Honkai Impact 3rd. This is good news because that game is as stylish as all get out.

Genshin Impact is due out for Mobile devices and PC sometime Spring 2020 (that’s Autumn for you southern hemisphere folks). You can sign up for the closed beta here.
