Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact Developer MiHoYo Officially Rebrands As HoYoverse

Well, I sure didn’t see that one coming. The developer of Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Tears of Themis, MiHoYo, announced today that it would be officially rebranding itself as HoYoverse.

The brand aims to create and deliver an immersive virtual world experience to players worldwide through a variety of entertainment services, and also quote: “reflect on our growing commitment to providing global audiences with immersive entertainment through high-quality, diverse content.”

Under the name HoYoverse, the developer aims to expand its content production, technology research, and publishing duties through operations in multiple offices based in Montreal, Los Angeles, Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul. It is yet unknown how this will affect the Genshin Impact scene from now on, but I certainly am looking forward to what’s in store.
