Metroidvania Souls-like ‘Grime II’ Reveals First Trailer
Developer and publisher Clover Bite has shared the first trailer for their previously announced souls-like metroidvania, Grime II. The game’s highly unique visuals and enemy design are emphasized in this video, alongside methodical combat.
This sequel to the original game will have players control an art mimic known as the Formless, which absorbs creatures and summons molds in their shapes.
Fans and newcomers alike can anticipate brand-new areas with a plethora of enemies, where being cognizant of the environment and mold capabilities are equally paramount for success. Further, the molds must be used to discover secret paths and understand the ins and outs of foes.
Individual playstyles can be crafted from the various weapons and abilities one will earn, too. In combat, molds can “throw enemies, fire projectiles, stun, and even turn into summons.” Your hand tendrils can be used to parry attacks or grasp and absorb them.

In a tweet thread, the team reassured fans that the Switch port of the original Grime is close to launch, with an exact release date arriving soon. Additionally, the third DLC will launch for free in the near future.

This title is an action-adventure RPG where players defeat foes with mutated living weapons. Bosses are one of the centerpieces of Grime and will require patience and constant strategical bouts to internalize the movesets of. Unique skill progression allows players to pursue their own manner of playstyle as well.
