Metroid Dread Announced for Switch with October Release Date; New 2D Title
During today’s E3 Nintendo Direct, a brand new Metroid title was unveiled, called Metroid Dread. Metroid Prime 4 was confirmed to still be worked on, but this game will hopefully tide fans over.
Little information was provided, but a gameplay trailer revealed that this is a brand new 2D entry in the series, with it also being called Metroid 5. There is speculation on whether or not this title takes place after Metroid Fusion, but there has not been any official word on the matter as of now.
Metroid Dread is releasing for Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021.
