Metro Exodus’ ‘Sam’s Story’ DLC Gets Release Date Adding New Playable Character
Deep Silver and 4A Games announced that the Metro Exodus Story DLC, Sam’s Story, will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 11.
Sam’s Story is the second story DLC for the first-person exploration shooter, releasing after “The Two Colonels.” During the story, players take control of U.S. Marine, Sam, a Spartan Ranger who worked under Colonel Miller since the nuclear war struck Moscow. Sam had found himself following Atryom in search of a world outside of the Metro, but his dream was to return home and perhaps find out if his father was alive. Now, players will need to find a way for Sam to return to the U.S., which means he’ll need to make his way through Vladivostok harbors, which have been demolished by a tsunami.
The DLC adds new characters, weapons, and mutant variants in a non-linear environment across hours of additional gameplay.
Metro Exodus is set in the year 2036 where humanity struggles to survive in a poisonous world. Players assume the role of Artyom who must flee the Metro and lead a group of Rangers across the post-apocalyptic Russia landscape to find new life in the East.
