Metro Exodus Has Launched and It Happens to Be Our Favorite Metro Yet

Deep Silver and 4A Games’ thrilling open world shooter, Metro Exodus is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. In our 9.3 score review for the game, we called it “an overall amazing gaming experience that exceeds all expectations”, so needless to say, Metro Exodus is worth getting.

Five years in the making (phew, that’s a long time!), Metro Exodus is set in the year 2036 where humanity struggles to survive in a poisonous world. Players assume the role of Artyom and lead a band of Spartan Rangers to flee the Moscow Metro and embark on an epic, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia.

What truly stands out about Metro Exodus is how it has such a powerful narrative through its massive single-player campaign. In Metro Exodus, players can choose to go off the beaten path if they’d like and learn more about all the bits and pieces, like the characters, in the world, or players can simply follow the main storyline and missions.

Metro Exodus is, without a doubt, our favorite Metro adventure yet, especially with how it perfectly blends ferocious combat, exploration, survival, and stealth. It’s not a game that players can play through once and be done with it, instead, it’s a game that will have players playing through it, again and again, to truly discover everything the game has to offer.
