Metro Exodus Developers Detail Designing a Post-Apocalyptic World in New Video

Deep Silver released a new video for the 4A Studios developed post-apocalyptic FPS Metro Exodus, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15.

In this episode of the documentary style series titled The Making of Metro Exodus, players get a look at the game’s game engine explained by the developers themselves. The entire team seems proud of what they were able to put together in the game, and for the right reasons. The team has put a lot of time into creating the world and making it as immersive as possible. This includes how the team created the weapons and implemented a realistic maintenance feature.

Metro Exodus is set in the year 2036 where humanity struggles to survive in a poisonous world. Players assume the role of Artyom who must flee the Metro and lead a group of Rangers across the post-apocalyptic Russia landscape to find new life in the East.

In case you missed it, the publisher revealed a more exclusive Limited Edition recently available through only promotions as well as a pre-order exclusive poster at all retail stores

You can watch the new episode below, and if you are a fan of this series I strongly suggest checking it out:

Author’s take: I enjoy seeing developers gush over their work so this video was pretty great to watch for me. I’m excited to play this world they’ve created.
