Metal Wolf Chaos XD PS4 Physical Release Coming Exclusively to GameStop Next Month

Devolver Digital has revealed that a physical version of Metal Wolf Chaos XD for PlayStation 4 will be coming exclusively to GameStop for $29.99 on August 20, and preorders are now open. The digital version of the game is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam and GOG on August 6 for $24.99.

Developed by General Arcade, Metal Wolf Chaos XD is an updated version of the 2004 original with upgraded visual fidelity, refined controls and gameplay, a new save system, and widescreen format with 1080p and 4K support for modern displays.

The game tells the story of a country in peril as President Michael Wilson defends the nation against a rebel assault led by Vice-President Richard Hawk. As the President, Michael is sworn to protect the United States at any cost and bring the country back to the respectable nation that it is. With the help of his advanced mech, President Michael will set out and take down the rebellion and bring peace and liberty to us all.

Metal Wolf Chaos originally released in 2004 on the original Xbox in Japan and the rest is history. The game features over the top cinematic moments of chaos and explosions and features some of the best-voiced dialogue in any video game.
