Metal Max Xeno Leaving NA & EU PlayStation Stores August 2022; JP Version Leaving Later This Month
Publisher NIS America has announced that their simulation JRPG, Metal Max Xeno, will be unavailable to purchase from the PlayStation Store on August 6, 2022, for both North America and Europe. While no reasoning was given, this decision was possibly due to copyright.
Additionally, the Japanese version of the title is being delisted on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita stores on June 30, 2022. Thanks to Twitter user @rurounihenshin for sharing this information.
A new edition of the title, Metal Max Xeno Reborn, recently launched for PlayStation 4, Switch and PC via Steam by publisher PQube.
Metal Max Xeno Reborn tells the story of a young man called Talis. In a world that has turned into a wasteland, humanity struggles to survive against the forces of a mother computer called NOA. Even Asia’s largest metropolis, TOKIO, has been turned into nothing but rubble under those attacks forcing mankind into running and hiding.
Talis is now on a vengeance trip, looking for comrades who can help him overthrow this mighty computer. Not only will you be able to get help from nine other characters, but you’ll also have a battle dog called Pochi as your trusty companion.
Talis’ journey involves scavenging for tools that will help in this battle. Characters can battle on foot or using robust vehicles such as tanks, making for some impressive scale in fighting. Along with the date announcement, PQube has shared a new trailer showing a little of the gameplay, including this element, which is a tradition of the Metal Max series.
