Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 10th Anniversary Event Scheduled for Next Month

PlatinumGames announced they will host a special event to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. In addition, the developer posted an art piece that depicts the main protagonist, Raiden, in a cute chibi-like form.

The event is set to take place on February 21, 2023. Unfortunately, no information was provided about what the event will reveal or if fans should expect any explicit new gaming updates surrounding the release.

Still, we will follow closely and share any news. However, the post does say they plan to unveil a special anniversary art piece on the Twitter page, but it’s not confirmed whether the chibi Raiden is what they are talking about.

Earlier this month, the voice actor of protagonist Raiden, Quinton Flynn, replied, simply stating, “Stayed tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks,” with a winking emoji.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013 by developer PlatinumGames and publisher Konami. The game featured Raiden as the main protagonist in an action-centric adventure. The hack-and-slash systems allowed players to cut through objects and the environment in specific ways, which was a huge selling point for the game’s engine and new hardware.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the event.
