SRPG ‘Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx’ Revealed With Gameplay Details and Trailer

Circle Entertainment announced they will publish the Rideon-developed SRPG Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on October 14, 2021, in Japan. An English release is planned, but no release date has been provided at this time.

Mercenaries Rebirth: Call of the Wild Lynx continues the Mercenaries series with a new adventure and updated SRPG systems. Players will set out on a new quest with character designs from Shunsuke Makimura. Further, a new feature allows players to utilize a Rebirth Exceed where characters can build up a powerful attack or healing ability in battle.

In this iteration, the animations have been improved, where players navigate pixelated characters and position them around grid-based maps for optimal attack patterns. Additional options allow players to speed up time and simplify the animations so that battles are over quicker, limiting the amount of in-game level grinding when building up new party members. Players can also customize their party’s loadout, class, and overall development to fit their playstyle during gameplay.

The new trailer gives a preview of some of the maps and story elements.
