Melty Blood: Type Lumina Outlines Four DLC Characters Releasing Through Spring 2022

Type-Moon announced they will launch character DLC for Melty Blood: Type Lumina for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch PC-via Steam.

The publisher confirmed that they have four characters to be released from Winter 2022 through Spring 2022. Each character can be purchased as a stand-alone fighter, but it looks like a bundle will be available. However, the prices and characters were not announced at this time.

Those who purchase the DLC will receive a character, their story, and a new battle stage. The developer also plans to implement new updates that include enhancements to the training mode, adjustments to balance, and various bug fixes.

Melty Blood is a fighting game series that started as a doujin game back in 2002. It is developed as a collaboration between Type-Moon (TsukihimeFate/Stay Night) and French-Bread. (Under Night In-BirthDengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax)

This newest entry of the series is based on the recent Japanese released remake of Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon. As such, this title will also act as a reboot for the fighting series including HD environments, and upgraded visuals reflecting the remake of the visual novel. French-Bread has also rebuilt the battle system to include multiple combos that can be pulled even by newcomers.
