Kikai Digital announced that the White Dew Games-developed yuri visual novel Melancholy Love has received a demo on PC-via Steam.
Melancholy Love tells the story of a yuri romance that takes place in a private girls’ academy. The story follows the journey between an elite student born to privilege and a delinquent who is attempting to break the from the academy. I guess you can already see where the divide is, but still, the two find love in a hopeless place.
Melancholy Love features 5 through 7 hours of story with full Mandarin voice acting. The game released in China to some acclaim from those who played it. The game also features a nice soundtrack and multiple CGs to unlock. There are three endings in the game based on choices made by the player during dialogue.
A short intro to the game’s story is as follow:
Amidst the garden of scented dreams,
Elite and misfit, two extremes
One stands in spotlight, one cast in shadows.
How will sparks flare as feelings grow?
As flowers bloom in the labyrinth.
A lone Miss Saigon stands among the hyacinths.
Like an apologetic, regretful dove,
tells the story of melancholic love.
Melancholy Love has a planned release date on PC-via Steam on January 28, 2021.
