Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Console and PC Release Date Revealed
Capcom has announced that the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection, a collection of all four Mega Man Zero games, Mega Man ZX, and Mega Man ZX Advent, will release on January 21, 2020 for $29.99 both digitally and via retail for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and a digital edition will release on PC-via Steam.
All of the games mentioned are being released together in a collection for the first time for current-gen consoles and Steam. Those who pre-order will receive the Reploid Remixes, an additional ten new in-game songs and four bonus Music Player tracks.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings the Zero and ZX series’ challenging boss battles, fast-paced platforming, and precise combat from hand-held to full-sized screens. Those that want to take a trip down memory lane can choose to play using the original sprite art, or they can bash some bots using the new optional HD-smoothing filters. Players wanting to go on a more chill, less intense playthrough of the Zero and ZX series’ stories have the option to use the optional Casual Scenario mode to reduce each game’s difficulty, and Save-Assist system to create save points mid-mission.
Fans of the series and/or new players looking for an epic challenge will also be able to test their “Biometal” against the all new Z Chaser challenge mode. More details on Z Chaser mode will be revealed at a later time, Capcom mentioned via a press release.
Players will also have the chance to take a nice break from all of the action, and enjoy an in-game gallery featuring over 600 pieces of original production art from each series, while listening to the music player’s complete selection of both original compositions and new arrangements.
The Megaman Zero games released long, long ago on Gameboy Advance, while Megaman ZX and its sequel were released on Nintendo DS. All six games were developed by Inti Creates, known for notable 2D action platformer titles, such as the Gunvolt series and the next entry in that series, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX, is coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC this September. Also, Inti Creates is the mastermind behind Dragon Marked for Death, which we enjoyed a lot — calling it “a love letter to fans of 2D action games” in our review.
