Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Shares New MegaMan.EXE Artwork by Shinsuke Komaki

Capcom has announced that their official Japanese PR account for the Mega Man franchise has reached over 100,000 followers. So, to commemorate the occasion, the team has shared a new illustration by Shinsuke Komaki depicting MegaMan.EXE.

For those unaware, Komaki played integral roles in the original Battle Network releases, as he drew the Japanese games’ box arts. Thanks to the Mega Man fan account The Rockman EXE Zone, for spotting this news.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will be the next release for the franchise. It was initially announced for Nintendo Switch digitally with a 2023 release window. Over 1,000 illustrations and over 150 songs from across the series will be included. PlayStation 4 and PC versions via Steam were also officially announced soon after.

The physical release will include all 10 games, while the digital releases will be separated across two volumes.

  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar

The Mega Man Battle Network series follows protagonist Lan Hikari and his Net Navi MegaMan.EXE as they and their friends battle foes threatening the safety of the Cyber Net, such as prominent viruses and the criminal syndicate WWW (World Three). Combat is action-strategy requiring players to move in real-time across a grid to avoid enemy attacks while attacking and equipping skills on-the-fly. MegaMan.EXE can also be upgraded and customized to better situate himself for various scenarios.
