MediEvil Has a New Demo That Unlocks Dan’s Helmet in Full Game

During Sony’s State of Play, they unveiled a trailer for the new “Short-Lived Demo” for the upcoming remake, MediEvil — coming to PlayStation 4 on October 25. The demo for the game is available now on PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store.

For players that download and play the demo, they will unlock Dan’s Helmet when players acquire it in the demo, which will then be available when MediEvil is released later next month.

During the announcement trailer for the demo, you can see Sir Daniel fighting all sorts of baddies with the visuals completely made from scratch for the PlayStation 4, along with the same spirit of the gameplay that was available in the original title.

MediEvil is yet another remake sought after by PlayStation One-era fans. Over the past couple of years — with remakes like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy — it’s safe to say that Sony has been more than happy to spearhead the idea of bringing back classic titles with remade visuals and enhancements.

While those titles were ultimately published by Activision, MediEvil will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by Other Ocean Interactive, who’s previous games include Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality and Thimbleweed Park.

Author’s Take: I have never played the MediEvil games before, making this demo perfect for players like me to give it a go and finally see what all the hype is about.
