Respawn Entertainment revealed new gameplay for Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, the VR game that focuses on a single-player campaign, which takes place during WWII.
The trailer, which debuted during Opening Night Live, was introduced by Respawn’s founder and CEO, Vince Zampella, and Game Director Peter Hirschmann to show off new gameplay from the campaign. The game will feature rich storytelling around moments of history, with the aim of returning the game to its roots. Through the VR systems, players can join the OSS, Office of Strategic Services, the forerunner of the modern CIA created to conduct espionage and sabotage behind enemy lines during WII.
The game includes a cast of new and returning characters from the Medal of Honor series as players take on various missions through different environments, including Tunisia and across Europe.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is being developed in partnership with Oculus from Facebook. The team has been working closely with WWII veterans to capture their stories and provide players with an immersive VR experience.
