Piranha Games released their launch trailer for MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries, coming to PC-exclusively via Epic Games Store on December 10.
The trailer gives a glimpse at the game’s destructible environments and various mechs that players will be able to pilot through this universe. In the downtime, players will be able to strategize in the Mech Bay where they’ll be able to recover and choose pre-deployment loadouts to maximize their chance of success.
From the missions select screen, players will travel around the galaxy where they will land on foreign planets and face off against enemy mechs. The campaign gives players a choice about how they wish to take on these missions, which revolves around risk, reward, and consequence.
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries borrows the gameplay from MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries, which grants players the freedom to run their campaigns on how they choose. Players will be able to pilot, construct, and maintain their own mercenary unit over a multi-year campaign during the Third and Fourth Succession Wars. The game also has an online mode where players can bring up to three friends with them in co-op contracts. These missions can also be played with AI-controlled allies.
