[UPDATE] McDonald’s Japan Announces Fate/Grand Order Christmas Collab

The official Twitter account for the Japanese branches of the fast food restaurant chain McDonald’s has posted a vague tweet heavily teasing an upcoming collaboration with the TYPE-MOON mobile game Fate/Grand Order.

Two Servant silhouettes are showcased in a festive dining room with some McDonald’s food and drinks on the table. Alongside brief dialogue from an unknown party, the tweet itself has hashtags directly stating FGO and an FGO Christmas collab.

What will this collab contain? Your guess is as good as ours.

You can view a translation of the tweet below via our team’s Ryuji:

“Merry… excuse me from the chimney. I’m the Santa Claus lady who answered the summons. Are you ready? It’s time for presents!”

UPDATE: The collaboration has been revealed, comprising new illustrations of familiar Servants that can be obtained via a receipt lottery at McDonald’s. This promotion will be available between November 29 and December 5, 2023. Thanks to Kars for catching this news.

Fate/Grand Order by Lasengle, Aniplex, and TYPE-MOON is an ongoing mobile game that brought the Fate franchise and tangentially related ones to new heights of popularity. While it’s particularly admonished by many for its harsh gacha, it’s loved for its engaging storyline, such as Lostbelt No.6, which many fans were eagerly anticipating.

Fate/Grand Order is available on mobile devices via iOS and Android.

The game has surpassed seven billion dollars of global revenue.

Fate/Samurai Remnant is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
