Mary Skelter Finale Shares New Screenshots, Character Profiles; Information on Chase Mode and Insectmares

Idea Factory International has shared more information for the upcoming Compile Heart-developed Mary Skelter Finale detailing several gameplay systems, characters, and more.

Firstly, the Chase Mode is discussed, which players of the prior 2 titles will assuredly be well aware of. Throughout dungeons, guardians called Nightmares patrol the premises, and players are advised to flee if spotted by them. However, in scenarios where they catch up with the characters, a battle ensues, and they must be knocked down with environmental gimmicks aiding in this endeavor. When a Nightmare’s respective power sources are destroyed, though, they can be fully eliminated.

Still, Nightmares are more of a threat than they have ever been before since they can now spawn offspring called Insectmares. These larvae are dangerous as they cause status ailments to the party and can even lock battle commands. Splattering blood on them does kill them, thankfully, be it Nightmare or Marchen blood. Alternatively, Insectmares can also be attacked directly to grant stat boosts and increases to the Blood Splatter meter.

3 new character profiles have been revealed as well, for Guillotine, Iron Maiden, and Gallows. You can view their renders below:

Several new screenshots have been revealed too, which you can view below:

Mary Skelter Finale includes 3 light novels digitally in-game that expand the series universe and a “Before Story” option that informs new players or catches up experienced ones on the events that took place back during Mary Skelter: Nightmares and Mary Skelter 2.
