Dungeon-Crawling RPG ‘Mary Skelter 2’ Details Gameplay Systems in New Screenshots
Idea Factory International released new details for their dungeon-crawling RPG Mary Skelter 2, coming digitally on Nintendo Switch on October 22 in North America and October 23 in Europe.
This week, the publisher released information about the gameplay systems in this new adventure. During gameplay, players will be able to create a party full of characters who fit into one of five different character classes, Fighter, Magician, Archer, Libero, and Scientist. Each roll has unique abilities and skills tied to them that will allow the player to create a party that is adjusted to their playstyle. Unlike me who creates a party on looks alone. Some Blood Maidens can learn multiple jobs as well.
Additionally, training is also a feature in the game where players will be able to use Blood Packs acquired from harvesting the Blood Farm or in dungeons. This is where Blood Maidens can learn new abilities and special skills. Players are able to give the party gifts as well as decorate their rooms in order to boost their affection with the character. Once the level is high enough you’ll get a special CG as a reward.
After every level up, Blood Maidens gain CP, which is used to level up skills and learn new ones. PLays can use the skills learned across different jobs to craft a unique Blood Maiden.
Special features about this release are the inclusion of Mary Skelter: Nightmares, a game that was previously only available on PlayStation Vita. The game will become available to any who purchase Mary Skelter 2. However, this version of the game will include revamped systems and balancing adjustments.
The game previously released on PlayStation 4 in Japan as a sequel to 2017’s Mary Skelter on PlayStation Vita. Mary Skelter 2 continues the adventure of the series as Jack as he deals with becoming a nightmare which opens the door for a new battle system. During gameplay, players will need to satisfy the living jail’s needs by completing the three desires in the jail, which will provide Jack with various bonuses. During battles, Jack will be able to succumb to the nightmare and turn into Ripper Jack where he can deal devastating amounts of damage. The game also features items known as Blood Crystals which can be harvested to turn into new items.
In case you missed it, check out the details for Thumbelina, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, Otsuu, Little Mermade, and Nightmare Jack, and Hameln, Gretel, Rapunzel, and Kaguya.
