Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Announces Accessibility Features
Insomniac Games has announced the accessibility features players can expect from their upcoming superhero action-adventure Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
First are Challenge Level Modifiers, letting players customize Enemy Health, Enemy Damage, and Stealth Awareness. A returning feature from the previous two outings is Chase Assist, which “[reduces] the target’s top speed, [increases] time windows before escaping, automatically attaching when a target is in range, and readjusting the camera to the target when you press R3.”
Further, auto-completing Quick Time events and making repeated button presses holds will also be included. Moving on, shortcuts will be assignable to the d-pad, like alternating the game speed to 70, 50, and 30 percent of its original value. Audio Frequency Controls for High-Frequency Cutoff and Low-Frequency Cutoff can be configured as well.
Post-launch support is planned to add Audio Descriptions, Screen Reader, and Captions. An Access Controller is planned, too.

Marvel’s Spider–Man 2 will focus on Peter Parker and Miles Morales following the events of the latter’s latest title. Players can anticipate more acrobatic parkour with web swinging alongside several variations built upon that foundation. Further, Venom will play an integral role in this entry’s narrative, so fans have quite a bit to look forward to this time around.
For those unaware, a Marvel’s Spider–Man 2 prequel comic was recently launched for Free Comic Book Day. It highlights Peter Parker, Miles, and Mary Jane as they balance the multiple faces of their lives. Additionally, the well-known villain The Hood debuts in this specific universe.
