Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Receives New Story Trailer at Universal Church of Truth

During today’s PlayStation showcase, Square Enix revealed yet another brand new trailer for the upcoming Eidos-Montreal developed Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The Guardians find themselves in the Universal Church of Truth, where they witness a bizarre ritual taking place.

You can view the new story trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy below:

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC for an October 26 launch. A Nintendo Switch cloud version is also scheduled to release at that time in certain regions.

The game looks very similar to Marvel’s Avengers without the live service. Instead, the gameplay has players take a strategic approach to gunplay where players can switch skills on the fly to take down enemies. From the reveal trailer, it seems the characters resemble their film counterparts in personality, but not their appearance.

In the story, the group has been together for less than a year, and they must face off against a massive threat to the galaxy. Non-popular enemies are promised to make appearances, so players have hopefully inventive battles to look forward to.

During gameplay, players can choose dialogue options that get a reaction from the others. Additionally, environments will feature enemy waves where players can utilize character skills, including Starlord’s jet boots.
