Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Receives 2 New Trailers Highlighting the Diversity of Combat and Exploration

Developer Eidos-Montréal has shared 2 new trailers for the upcoming Square Enix published Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Senior Gameplay Director Patrick Fortier briefly highlights what players can expect from the title’s combat and exploration.

Regarding combat, the Guardians all boast special abilities that make each of them distinct from one another.

• Star-Lord is adaptable and versatile, being a decent all-rounder.
• Rocket utilizes multi-target explosives.
• Drax is ideal for stunning and staggering enemies.
• Gamora deals high damage to single targets.
• Groot can heal and even review allies when they run out out of health.

When exploring, players will have to use the cast’s varied arsenal to get past certain obstacles. Choices must also be made during conversations, with the consequences of these actions being the advertised core of the experience. Ability points and cosmetic customization will also be featured.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC for an October 26 launch. A Nintendo Switch cloud version is also scheduled to release at that time in certain regions.
