Square Enix have announced that the first new, upcoming superhero for Marvel’s Avengers will be launching as part of Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM on December 8, 2020. Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM on December 8, 2020 acts as a continuation of the ongoing Marvel Avenger’s story while also introducing a new villain by the name of the Super Adaptoid. This villain will challenge players by mimicking the weaponry and abilities of what the Avengers themselves are capable of.

Throughout this new story, Kate Bishop, master archer and skilled gymnast returns after investigating Nick Fury. Her mentor, Clint Barton (Hawkeye) goes missing as well. After spending some time investigating the time warping Tachyon Rifts, she discovers a new plan AIM which ultimately guides her to working alongside the Avengers once more.
Those who purchase the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to upgrade to the newer version on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at no additional cost. This also includes save files from the current generation version. Additionally, the publisher revealed that cross-gen play is enabled allowing PS5 and PS4 players to play together and Xbox Series X and Xbox One players to play together.
