Sony and Arc System Works have released the opening movie for MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls while confirming Phoenix Cyclops as the first DLC character included in the game’s Year 1 post-launch content.
The opening cinematic features the visual style of early 2000s anime openings and was produced by Japanese animation studio Sanzigen. Daisuke Suzuki directed the sequence, which features the original theme song “Stronger as One.” The track is performed by Keiko Terada of SHOW-YA and mayu of NEMOPHILA, with lyrics by Kanata Okajima and music composed and arranged by MEG (MEGMETAL).
Phoenix Cyclops is scheduled to arrive this fall, based on Scott Summers’ Phoenix Five appearance from Avengers vs. X-Men. Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka said the development team chose the Phoenix Five incarnation to give Cyclops visual distinction and an expanded moveset.
