Marvel Meow Releasing This October, Covering the Adventures of Captain Marvel’s Cat, Chewie

VIZ Media announced they will collaboration with Marvel Entertainment to release Marvel Meow, a comic about Captain Marvel’s cat Chewie, on October 12. This is a hardcore release available for $12.99.

The comic follows Chewie through a few adventures and also features superheroes and villains from the Marvel Comic franchise. Marvel Meow is a collection of variant covers first seen on Marvel’s official Instagram comic strips in celebration of Carol Danvers furry sidekick. While known as the breakout star—Goose—in the hit film Captain Marvel, the comic strips honor the original flerkin cat Chewie. The name change could have been for several reasons, but they’re both pretty good names.

The manga features stories Across nine panels a chapter that follows Chewie interacting with Wolverine or rather pestering him only to end up twinning in the closing panel, or witness what happens when she meets The Merc with a Mouth and Dogpool (who we meet from an alternate universe) chases her endlessly.

Marvel Meow is written and drawn by artist Nao Fuji.

We’ll be sure to continue covering upcoming VIZ releases, but this one just happened to be really cute.
