Mario Movie Delayed To Spring 2023; April Release Dates

The official Japan Nintendo Twitter account has announced that the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie by Illumination has been delayed to a Spring 2023 release instead of the December 2022 release we’ve had up to this point. Now, the film will be released in Japan on April 28, 2022, and in North America on April 7, 2022. Miyamoto has apologized for the delay but ensures that it’s for the sake of constructing an enjoyable film above all else.

We are deeply sorry for this, but we hope you can wait a little longer for the film’s release.”
