Over the weekend on May 11 in Los Angeles, Nexon hosted the second annual MapleStory Fest for fans of the MMORPG franchise. During the event, more than 500 fans came together to check out future updates for both MapleStory and MapleStory 2 as well as meet the developers of the game and hear their stories.
The sold-out show entertained attending fans with a live concert as well as various activities including a cosplay contest. More importantly, this event gave developers of MapleStory the chance to celebrate the game’s 14th anniversary by sharing their favorite memories about working on the game. The developers also teased the June 12th update which adds Pathfinder, the first new character to be released after the Black Mage update.
Additionally, the team shared news about MapleStory 2’s May 30th update where players can get a new class, Striker, who is a master of combat and utilizes bare-handed martial art skills in battle. Also, the update introduces Eye of Lapenta, a new storyline that includes new dungeons and ascendent gear. This update also raises the level cap to 70 and activated Rank 2 skills for all jobs.
