MapleStory 2 Launches Second Phase of Skybound Expansion Adding New Quests and Dungeons
Nexon has launched the second phase of its Skybound Expansion for the MMORPG MapleStory 2, available now on Nexon Launcher and Steam.
The update adds the Fortress Rumble Dungeon where players who reach the “Trusted” reputation level can enter into 5 different types of single-player dungeons. Rewards for getting through these include Legendary weapons and armor.
Additionally, the update adds a new raid called Wrath of Infernog Chaos, which is only available to players who have earned the “Alliance Soldier” Trophy and have reached at least level 50 with a 9,000 gear score. Completing the dungeon will give them the chance to obtain Pluto’s accessory set, which includes the first Legendary accessories in the game.
There’s also a handful of other updates added to the housing user interface and a variety of seasonal events for the New Year.
In case you missed it, check out the first events in phase 1 on the Skybound Expansion that adds new mini-games and raids or check out our review of the game where we talk about its solid gameplay execution.
Author’s take: This game just keeps getting bigger. What’s more interesting is that the older MapleStory titles are still receiving updates as well. MapleStory is taking over one day at a time.
