Manga ‘The King’s Beast Vol. 1’ Gets February Release Date for Fantasy and Romance Fans

VIZ Media announced that The King’s Beast Vol. 1 will release on February 2 in both digital and physical format.

The story and art of The King’s Beast Vol. 1 is by Rei Toma, the creator of Dawn of the Arcana and The Water Dragon’s Bride, both of which are available now in English. The King’s Beast Vol. 1 tells the story of a kingdom that forces Ajin boys who have special abilities to serve in the imperial palace as beast-servants. Readers will learn of Rangetsu, whose twin brother Sogetsu was taken away to the palace to attend Prince Tenyou as a beast-servant where he suffered some harsh conditions. Rangetsu sets out to avenge her brother in the disguise of a man and find a way into the palace.

As she searches for her brother, she learns that Prince Tenyou is not what she expected, making her mission more difficult. “Does Rangetsu have any chance of finding justice for her brother, or will she become just another Ajin casualty in the game of kings?”

The King’s Beast Vol. 1 will be available at all major retailers for the MSRP of $9.99. The length of the volume is 168 pages with a rating of Teen.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the future VIZ publications as well as notable releases from manga and light novel series.
