Mafia: Trilogy Revealed in Teaser Trailer With More News Coming Next Week

2K revealed a teaser trailer for Mafia: Trilogy, in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam.

The trailer doesn’t explain much, but it does give players a look at some of the characters in the series with updated visuals. The trailer focuses on the three main protagonists who quickly detail their reasonings for fighting.

Mafia: Trilogy will be developed by Hangar 13 who developed Mafia III. The publisher and developer will reveal more on May 19.

The Mafia series began in 2002 on PS2 and Xbox. The series released Mafia II in 2010 with the latest entry releasing in 2016. Gameplay focuses on action-adventure elements in an open-world where players assume the role of a criminal who rises in fame through organized crime.

Each game is set in a different time period and features cars and themes that fit the era. Seeing these set pieces realized with more powerful hardware is interesting given that the PS2 version is so old.

We don’t know if this is a full remastered project or if they plan to remake the titles. When it comes to the preview of Mafia, it does seem like an enormous update to the visuals.

Well, while we wait, you can check out the short trailer below:
