Mafia: Definitive Edition Reveals Updated Cinematics and Release Date in New Trailer

2K revealed a new trailer for Mafia: Definitive Edition, the remade version of the first Mafia game, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on August 28.

The Mafia series began in 2002 on PS2 and Xbox. The series released Mafia II in 2010 with the latest entry releasing in 2016. Gameplay focuses on action-adventure elements in an open-world where players assume the role of a criminal who rises in fame through organized crime.

Mafia: Definitive Edition has received a bit more attention than their other two releases, given that this title released back on PS2 and Xbox. However, at this time, we have only seen the cinematics, which has been completely reworked for this release. Furthermore, players can pre-order the game as a standalone release or as part of the Mafia: Trilogy.

In Mafia, players will be able to explore the city of Lost Heaven, during the prohibition years of the 1930s. The story centers around a taxi driver named Tommy Angelo, who has found himself in a tight situation after helping two members of the Salieri family, which then spirals him into getting involved with the mafia.

Each game in the trilogy has been updated to 4k resolutions.
