Action RPG ‘Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness’ Gets Fall 2022 Release Window in New Trailer; Collector’s Edition Revealed
Spike Chunsoft announced they will publish the Mages-developed action RPG Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in the west in Fall 2022.
A gameplay trailer was released that highlights gameplay and characters. For a Mages-developed it looks decent with dungeon elements and even a character creation system.
A physical edition was also revealed, with a Collector’s Edition option, which includes a 24″ x 36″ commemorative movie-sized cloth poster featuring new exclusive art by Kinema Citrus, the team behind the Made in Abyss anime, and your very own Cave-Raiding Notebook, containing pictures and information about primeval creatures, Relics, and Whistles, as well as space to take your own notes while diving into the netherworld.
Made in Abyss is based on the manga series that began in 2021, the game also has an anime adaption and two feature films. The manga is written by Akihito Tsukushi and utilizes a unique juxtaposition of its gentle art style with a dark, brutal storyline.
Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness is an action RPG where players will descend into the world of the Abyss and increase experience through various encounters. The game follows events of the anime through Story Mode and will also feature an Orginal Story that was surprised by Tsukushi-san.
The game features dark fantasy themes that are found in both manga and video games. The gameplay revolves around adventure elements where players can explore areas and fight again enemies. Progressing through the dungeons will unlock story scenes where players can take on missions and interact with various characters.
