NIS America released a gameplay trailer for the rhythm platformer Mad Rat Dead, coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on October 30 in North America and Europe.
The trailer highlights the game’s unique platforming mechanics where players will take out enemies using rhythm. Furthermore, the mechanic is also used to get them through stages and across obstacles.
Mad Rat Dead is a rhythm platformer directed by Yu Mizokami, known for Yomawari: Night Alone and Yomawari: Midnight Shadows. The game features the character, Mad Rat, who has been given the chance to fulfill his dream. Throughout the game, the player must keep his heart pumping in time with the music to clear stages within a time limit.
In the event that he doesn’t, he will die, but at least he got to hear some catchy tunes before his end. The game is a lot like the action film Crank where the character needs to keep his heart rate up in order to survive.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the game’s development and any new information provided by the publisher.
