Luigi’s Mansion 3 Gets Halloween Release on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo announced that their ghost hunting adventure Luigi’s Mansion 3 will launch on Nintendo Switch on October 31. Yep, that’s right players will be able to spend their Halloween vacuuming up ghosts.
In Luigi’s Mansion 3, players will assume the role of Luigi, the brother of the arguably more popular brother Mario. During the game, the crew has received tickets to stay at the Last Resort hotel where they end up all going missing, except for Luigi, that is. However, Luigi isn’t totally alone as a body double named Gooigi will lend a helping hand.
Gooigi can also be controlled by a second player locally or play the online mode called ScareScraper with up to 8 players controlling all sorts of Luigis and Gooigis.
Players can now slam more aggressive ghost while sucking them into your pack. Suction Shot fires a plunger into obstacles and enemies to pull them out of your way. The burst blasts a powerful gust of air to knock back ghosts surrounding Luigi, it also doubles as a jump.
It’s left to be seen whether Luigi is up for the frightful adventure, but considering that this is the third time he has done this, I’m sure he’ll do fine.
There’s a short trailer shared by Nintendo’s Twitter that shows the release date:
When Luigi’s friends go missing on vacation, it’s up to our reluctant hero to save them from the ghosts in the Last Resort hotel! Join forces with Gooigi, slam ghosts, & prepare for a spooky treat when #LuigisMansion3 arrives to #NintendoSwitch on 10/31!https://t.co/3fg4O2t6PB pic.twitter.com/iNM9BKNKg5
