Nintendo has shared a new trailer for the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD ahead of its launch next week. The trailer overviews the title’s general features, such as the multiplayer implementation and the areas players can anticipate.
In Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (known as Luigi’s Mansion 2 in PAL territories), players explore multiple spooky mansions and clean houses as the easily scared Luigi. Evershade Valley is filled with chilling locales to visit and clever ghosts to capture. Luckily, Luigi has the tools for the job – like the Strobulb to stun enemies and his trusty Poltergust to vacuum up ghosts or interact with the environment.
That’s a good thing because his paranormal escapades will take him to a variety of places, including a former plant research lab, a broken-down clock factory, and an icy, snow-covered mine, just to name a few. Plus, you can connect online and hunt ghosts with up to four players in group “exorcises” across different multiplayer modes or conjure up fun frights in the local multiplayer ScareScraper mode. This is definitely the most underrated entry of the series, so it’s neat to see it granted another shot.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD will be released for Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2024. Pre-orders are now available via the Switch eShop.

So many killer games being announced this year I’ll be so peeved if the successor isn’t backwards compatible.
