Iceberg Interactive announced that they will publish the Stormling Studios developed Lovecraftian adventure title Transient, slated for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.
Transient is set in a post-apocalyptic future where mankind lives in an enclosed citadel called Domed City Providence. This place was created to survive the harsh environment of the outside world. One man, Randolph Carter, a member of a hacker-for-hire group known as ODIN, has accidentally stumbled across a terrifying truth that might end up affecting his sanity and make him question his very existence.
Iceberg Interactive CEO Erik Schreuder says, “Iceberg has become the go-to publisher for those seeking their Lovecraftian fix – we will only enhance this reputation further with the addition of this grizzly creepfest”.
Transient features an H.P. Lovecraft meets Cyberpunk world where players will traverse between real and artificially created world. The game is created with Unreal Engine 4 and has a focus on creating the perfect atmosphere with its soundtrack. Additionally, the developer has included secrete and easter eggs for players to discover while playing.
Stormling Studios’ Onur Samli says, “We are thrilled to reveal our new project, Transient. We are moving to a new level of nightmarish surrealism by melding our love of all things cyberpunk with the historic and classic elements of H.P. Lovecraft”.
The publisher also released a new teaser trailer giving a quick look at an early cinematic of the game along with new screenshots, which you can see below:
