Artful Adventure ‘Lost Words: Beyond the Page’ Gets PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC Release Date in New Trailer
Modus Games released a new trailer for the Sketchbook Games-developed adventure, Lost Words: Beyond the Page, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on April 6, 2021.
To celebrate the announcement, the publisher released a new trailer that highlights some of the themes of the game. We get a closer look at the trauma that the main protagonist, Izzy, has to live with after losing a loved one and how she finds comfort in the pages of a journal.
The trailer introduces a magical world called Estoria, where a young girl named Izza finds herself. The game focuses in on Izzy as she is a young writer using her journal to deal with the adventure of life, I can relate. Izzy finds herself balancing the real and imaginary world as literally falls into the pages of her diary coming.
During gameplay, players will find themselves journeying through Izzy’s life and experience the emotional growth that she has to go through. They’ll need to use the words of her diary to make it through the game, but it also features fully realized levels along with giving players a glimpse at her journal. The game features light platforming section, but if you’re looking for a challenge, you can go out of your way to collect fireflies scattered across Estoria.
