Lost Judgment The Kaito Files DLC Releasing Late March; Story Details, Pricing & New Screenshots
Publisher Sega and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that the extensive four-chapter DLC story expansion for Lost Judgment, The Kaito Files, will be releasing for PlayStation and Xbox platforms on March 28, 2022. This content will be purchasable standalone for $29.99, while Lost Judgment’s Ultimate Edition owners will receive it freely.
Throughout this new DLC episode taking place after the main game’s events, players take control of Yagami’s trusty sidekick, Kaito, while the former is not in town. To kick things off, Kaito investigates his now missing, prior romantic partner, Mikiko. Alongside working with his supposed teenage son, Jun, he ends up facing a criminal syndicate in Kamurocho, which is, admittedly, a relatively common affair.
Gameplay-wise, players can look forward to new collectibles and Kaito’s methodology of investigation, Primal Focus. Additionally, he boasts two unique fighting styles, Bruiser and Tank, aptly named for their respective strengths.

This is a new adventure from the developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, known for the Yakuza series. Players who purchase the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be able to upgrade to the current-gen version for free if they want in the future.
During gameplay, players will take on the role of Yagami, a private eye who has an unconventional way of solving cases. After a string of murders, clues lead to a high school, which opens up a web of corruption and lies. Gameplay is enhanced further with mini-games available as players can participate in several side-events such as becoming a dance club instructor or just playing baseball.
Combat has been enhanced from the original title, with the “Crane” and “Tiger” styles making a return. A new fighting style called “Snake” has been added to the game, which turns enemy attacks back at them. There are School Stories in the priorly mentioned high school that act as a contrast to the seriousness of the main narrative.
Lost Judgment is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
