Loop8: Summer of Gods Introduces God Slayer Ichika & Prominent Surfer Sachi Hori

XSEED Games and Marvelous have begun sharing character profiles for their upcoming coming-of-age time travel RPG, Loop8: Summer of Gods.

Sachi Hori is a freshman at Ashihara High. He used to be a prominent surfer and is quite popular with women. However, following an accident causing him to miss a year of school, his objectives seem to primarily revolve around the protagonist, Nini.

Ichiki is a transfer student at Ashihara High who supposedly has no surname. Since childhood, she was raised to be an anti-Kegai weapon known as a God Slayer. Due to this upbringing, coupled with a narrowed focus and lack of real-world experience, she’s frequently misunderstood even if she means well.

Throughout this game, the protagonist Nini and his classmates try to fend off demonic entities known as Kegai. They have driven mankind to the verge of extinction. Nini, raised on a failed space station called “Hope,” decides to spend his summer in Ashihara, one of humanity’s final sanctuaries. However, he finds himself having to use a gift from the gods, the ability to reset the world. With this skill, the cast repeatedly relives the eighth month to hopefully defeat the Kegai once and for all.

This title takes place around 1983 in the setting of Ashihara. The vast cast can be bonded with, and they all have their own secrets to uncover, with player choice determining their potential antagonism or friendliness.

Loop8: Summer of Gods is launching for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One in 2023.
