Lone Ruin Update Addresses Player Feedback and It’s Available Now

Super Rare Originals announced that an update is available for the Cuddle Monster Games-developed roguelike Lone Ruin is available now on PC via Steam and coming soon to Nintendo Switch.

Lone Ruin launched on January 12, 2023, we have a review of the game where we talk about some of its clever gameplay elements but also how the game flow isn’t as lasting as other titles in the genre. However, the Fool’s Errand update is made to address this, and more with an ascension-style progression system replaces the difficulty selection, growing gradually more difficult the more successful runs you complete.

Further, a brand new game mechanic is introduced with the cloaks, which are unlocked at successful Errand intervals. This is a way to boost your abilities and is available in ruin Run and Survival. Speaking of, Survival Mode received an update where players can choose different biomes to play.

Shops have been updated, Steam achievements added, and balancing has been implemented.

The team is planning more updates following its release.

Lone Ruin is a spell-based roguelike twin-shooter that requires players to try multiple runs to get through its many trials. Players will get acquainted with several magical weapons to progress further into the game’s gloomy world.
