Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Game Design Now a Remaster Instead of a Remake

The company president of Dragami Games, Yoshimi Yasuda, has announced that the upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw remake, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, is now a remaster instead of a remake.

He specifically said the following:

“We have changed the game design of RePOP from Remake to Remaster based on your requests!”

No other details were provided, but we’ll keep you all updated.

This remaster will aim to be faithful to the original except with more realistic graphics thanks to next-gen hardware. This title aims to make it possible for users to play the game easily. 16 licensed songs were removed and were integral to the game’s tone, so this new version is being developed with the intention of being as close to a remaster as possible. Additionally, the story has been confirmed to be unchanged.

We’ll be sure to keep you all updated on the news about Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, such as an official trailer, specific release timing, planned platforms, and more.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will launch in Summer 2024.
