A major Lollipop Chainsaw project announcement is being teased for Tokyo Game Show 2026, where the series will receive a dedicated stage event on September 19, 2026, from 9:40 to 10:30.
The official event listing is titled “LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW NEW PROJECT” and says the presentation will include a “major announcement regarding a new project.” It does not specify what that project is.
That wording is especially notable because a new Lollipop Chainsaw game and anime project have already been confirmed. It is currently unclear if the Tokyo Game Show announcement will focus on either of those previously revealed projects or something else tied to the series.
The stage event will also feature a promotional video, an appearance from a cosplayer dressed as protagonist Juliet Starling, and a life-size replica of her weapon. Members of the development team are scheduled to appear as well, including director Nasu, IP production staff, and JP UNIVERSE CEO Tabata.
Most recently, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP surpassed 400,000 units sold worldwide as the series celebrated its 14th anniversary. The Kogal Costume, selected through the game’s costume design contest, was also announced for release in June 2026.
We previously covered the confirmation of a new Lollipop Chainsaw game and anime project, which marked the first indication that the IP would continue beyond RePOP.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP launched in 2024 and follows Juliet Starling, a cheerleader and zombie hunter who battles an outbreak at San Romero High School.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
