Picross-Like Puzzle Game ‘Logiart Grimoire’ Kickstarter Campaign Now Open; PC Release in March 2024, Switch Afterward

Jupiter has opened a Kickstarter campaign for Logiart Grimoire. The developer is asking for a $3,399 to fund extra features for the puzzle game, which is currently available on Steam Early Access. The campaign page also reveals the company plans for a March 1, 2024 release on PC, with a Switch version after it.

Logiart Grimoire is a puzzle game that plays with the concept of nonogram puzzles, the same style of gameplay used on the Picross series, which is often developed by Jupiter on Nintendo systems. The player must help the wizard Emil restore the former glory of his magic grimoire, which included all sorts of solutions for Logiart puzzles.

There are over 280 puzzles with sizes 5×5, 10×10, 15×15, 20×15, 30×30, and 40×30. However, instead of simply doing the next one, players will have to use the previous puzzles as materials for fusion, unlocking new challenges. Hint texts help the player look for the correct choices for new fusions and Emil gets stronger by solving more puzzles, opening up more fusion choices.

For the Kickstarter, the company plans to expand the game according to the following stretch goals:

  • 100% Funded – Localization in French, Italian, German, and Spanish + Up to 75 new puzzles (on top of the 280 already mentioned);
  • 110% Funded – Enhancement of UI customization elements;
  • 120% Funded – Enhancement of collection elements;
  • 130% Funded – Emil’s voice-acting;
  • 140% Funded – BGM Customization Feature + 2 new tracks;
  • 150% Funded – Localization in Chinese (Traditional and Simplified);
  • 160% Funded – ???
